Connor's First Birthday! | Personal

I can’t believe my baby boy is a year old!! Ahh! His birthday fell on a Saturday so we had the party on this day! My best friend Whitney from the Cake Bakkerij made Connor the CUTEST and most delicious cakes!! I’m so obsessed with them!!

Connor LOVED his cake! Adaline blew out his candle and they both grubbed on his cake! Haha!

We love our handsome birthday boy!!!!

Twelve Months of Connor | Personal

The buttercups bloomed on my dads farm so we hiked up the bluff to take photos! If you haven’t noticed this about me, I will always take photos if there are flowers around ha!

Here are some favorite memories from our home!

My mom started working in the greenhouses so we went to visit and the kids had fun playing around!

Connor’s new favorite thing: pretending to drink Pap’s coffee and getting SO excited out it!

This was probably one of my favorite photos of the kids together, and some of my favorite photos of Connor! I had a vision for this photo, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted! I was so excited! And they both had fun!

It started warming up outside so we took advantage of that and took some trips to the park and spent time out on the farm! (Oh and took some cute selfies :))

The first weekend in March (literally right before the world shut down) Adaline and her daddy attended the Cinderella Ball at our church and oh my goodness, my heart couldn’t hardly handle it. Adaline looked so gorgeous (and that husband of mine looked prettttyyyyy fine ;)) They both had so much fun! Jon said she might have been just a little young, but next year she should have a wonderful time!

A few favorite memories :) One of those was I finally got Connor switched to a sippy from a bottle! I didn’t think we could do it but we did lol! And he got his second haircut before his birthday party!

Beautiful rainbow!

Here is Connor’s 12 month photoshoot! I love this sweet boy so much!

Eleven Months of Connor | Personal

This month was full of first for Connor! One of those was going out of the country to Jamaica! (But i’m going to make separate post about that :)) Here are some favorite photos from home! He always has the brightest smile!

I had a little photoshoot with Connor in his Titans onesie! I love those big blue eyes!

Both of the kids got their first haircuts this month!! They both did amazing!

We did have an exciting thing happen this month, we sold our old house in BG! It was definitely a bittersweet time for us, but we are so happy to finally close that chapter and move onto being able to enjoy our new home!

We went outside to enjoy our first “snow” haha! Of course I had to do a short photoshoot!

Here are some favorite memories!

We celebrated Valentines Day together, starting with heart shaped pancakes on heart plates! Connor was definitely a fan!! :)

I didn’t do much for valentines day, but the kids loved the big balloons I got from Kroger! haha! And of course we had a little photoshoot! And Jon got me some beautiful roses! :)

And we also celebrated 11 months with Connor!

Ten Months of Connor | Personal

This month we were so busy celebrating Christmas together! So I planned something fun for the kids to do from Dec 1-24 to keep us in the Christmas spirit! :) I tried to photograph most everything we did but I missed a few days! One of my favorite memories is our Christmas Dance Party!! Oh my gosh.. it was so SO fun! I got our speaker and looked up some kids Christmas songs on Youtube (Santa Shark and Christmas Freeze Dance were their favs) and we danced the night away! :) Then we ended the party with cookies!

Another favorite memory was building our gingerbread house! I have never built one before so it was very interesting haha! Connor couldn’t do much, but I made sure he was up in the action! I took a few photos on a timer and some of his facial expressions are so hilarious! I thought the house turned out pretty cute though! I used it as a centerpiece on our kitchen table :)

** That last photo is of our Christmas tags from last year! I got the idea from A Beautiful Mess blog to do personalized gift tags with photos! I added the date to the photo but I loved the way they turned out! Plus you can use them for ornaments!

We had our first Christmas celebration with Jon’s mom since she was heading to Ohio and we were staying here on Christmas. This was Connor’s first time opening presents and it was adorable to watch him! Adaline had a blast too :)

The kids got dressed up on the Sunday before Christmas.. had to document it! Plus I got a super cute picture of Connor in the tub with a bubble beard! :D

Then we had Christmas with my parents and my nephews! Adaline’s favorite toy was probably the bouncy Dino that my dad named “Dumpy” because he would dump her off haha! The boys got a laser tag game and the guys went outside and played that for a couple hours!

We spent Christmas Eve with Jon’s dads family!

On the way back home there was a GORGEOUS sunset. I had my tripod in the car so Jon was kind enough to pull over on the side of the road and take photos in a field!

The kids woke up on Christmas morning to presents from Santa! Adaline had been BEGGING for a Paw Patrol Tower since she found it in a target magazine for Black Friday. She was so excited to finally get it! I absolutely love seeing their smiling faces! It was beautiful!

We spent Christmas Day with my family. That afternoon my brother was kind enough to take some family photos of us! I will always cherish these!

After Christmas we spent a lot of time winding down at home! Connor started crawling AND pulling up right after the new year so we got a lot busier chasing him and baby proofing the house! We also got a visit from Great Grandpa Kenney!

10 months with our baby boy!

Nine Months of Connor | Personal

This month we celebrated Connor’s first thanksgiving and then switched into Christmas mode! We had so much fun this month. We traveled to Ohio for Thanksgiving and had a great time with family.

I did a LOT of photoshoots with the kids over the holidays haha! The first was with Connor. I played around with some twinkle lights in his Christmas outfit!

I bought this hat for Adaline when she was a baby, so I had to take photos of Connor in it!! He was quite a bit older than she was when he wore it, but I still got it to fit ha! He makes the best facial expressions!!!

I forced the kids to take a few photos together! :)

We set up a timer in the backyard to get some family photos for Christmas cards and they turned out SO GOOD! We were so surprised!!

I had another photoshoot with Connor haha! I saw this sign on instagram last year and I wanted to re-create it with Connor, I love them so much!

We spent some time with our boys, Jayson and Jordan!! This was the only good photo I could get of all four of them haha.

And the most exciting part of the month was when the kids got to meet Santa!!! Adaline was so excited and so sweet. Connor just tried to rip his beard off! Haha! But no tears were shed!

Nine months!!

Eight Months of Connor

This month was full of change since we moved out of house and into our new home! It was such a bittersweet last couple weeks in our home!

We moved into our new home and started enjoying it! There is a park in our neighborhood so we went there the first weekend we moved, both kids loved it! They both did great settling into our home!

We celebrated Connor’s first Halloween dressed as Toy Story 4 characters!! Adaline went to see Toy Story 4 in theaters (it was her first movie!) and so we wanted to do something fun for her!

November came with beautiful fall weather! The kids enjoyed getting outside!

Happy Eight months to my baby boy!

Seven Months of Connor | Personal

This month we were starting to get into my favorite season, FALL! This month was pretty chaotic (more so than normal ha) because right after we got home from the beach, we bought a new house in TN! It happened really quickly, so we were busy getting our house ready to sell, while still trying to do the fun fall activities!

Connor started on foods this month! I had to document his first food, peas! He hated them haha

It was still hot, so we got in a couple more pool days! Connor started sitting up really well, and I was SUPER pumped to be able to put him in the cart at Sams! (Adaline, not so much hehe)

We started October with a trip to Just Piddlin’ Farm with Jayson and Jordan! It was so fun! The kids had a blast.

A couple days later we went to Honeysuckle Hill Farm in TN! Adaline was the perfect age to enjoy all the fun things they had! It did get very cold that night though!!

It was also mine and Jon’s sixth wedding anniversary! We loved spending the day with the kids!

Seven months!!

PCB

In September we went on vacation with Jon’s family! I had never been to Panama City Beach and it was so beautiful! Connor had his first flight and he did pretty well! This was the first vacation that Adaline really loved the beach, so it was so fun!

Connor pretty much napped on the beach, and Adaline loved playing in the sand! She wore her sunglasses the entire time and it was so adorable haha! She did get in the water a little bit, but it wasn’t her favorite lol!

We were on the beach on 9/11 and a kind man was passing out American flags!

On our last day on the beach Adaline and I wore matching swimsuits from Old Navy :) I love matching with her!! ha!

Our last night we went down to the beach for a little photoshoot! We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset!

We had such a fun and beautiful trip! We are so thankful for Jon’s family for having us and all the fun memories we made!

Six Months of Connor | Personal

This post will be short and sweet because i’m going to split it into a couple posts! Connor’s sixth month was so busy, with Adaline’s birthday and a vacation to Florida, but here are some of my favorite photos!

We spent a lot of time outside taking walks and playing in a small pool in our yard. We got to spend a lot of time with my nephews, Jayson and Jordan. Both kids had check-ups this month and did great! Connor definitely lost almost all his hair this month! I was so sad to see that red hair go!

And just like that, we celebrated his half birthday! So many emotions!!

Adaline is THREE! | Personal

I can’t believe my baby girl is three. I wanted to dedicate a post just for her because I’m so stinkin’ proud of her. I’ll share some photos first! I decided to do a photoshoot early to have photos for her invitation, but life happened and I never made invitations HA but I still love the photos! And we had a gorgeous sunset to finish off the shoot!

We celebrated her birthday as a family a few days early and took Adaline to the zoo!! We all had so much fun and it was so good to be together!

Her birthday was on a Saturday this year so she got to wake up and open presents with us before her party! I decorated her room and she loved it!!

Then Adaline had her Paw Patrol “Party” that afternoon! She had so much fun!

We put the finger foods in dog bowls to go along with the theme, and I found Paw Patrol juice pouches at Walmart! But I have to say her cake was AMAZING! One of my best friends, Whitney, made her cake and it was so adorable and so well done! Her website is https://www.thecakebakkerij.com ! Our friends let us borrow their huge bounce house and everyone had so much fun! We loved celebrating our little girl!

Five Months of Connor | Personal

This month me and my friend Laura took Adaline to see her first movie, Toy Story 4! She loved it and did SO good! I was super proud of her!

We had lots of fun on Pap’s farm, including a cool encounter with a fawn! We also visited her Grandpa Mark, where Connor got to meet his aunt Jaide!

I LOVE sunflowers and I’ve been wanting to take photos with there for a while now, and I finally found a local place to go! The kids were a mess but we got a few good photos!! :)

This is one of my favorite photo series of my kids haha! Life is so chaotic with two, but it can be so fun!

Connor started getting stronger and you could tell he was wanting to move! Adaline LOVES to swim so we took a quick trip to the waterpark one afternoon and it was so much fun!

Five months of our sweet handsome boy!!!! These photos make me a little sad because right after this all his red hair fell out!! We love you so much little boy! Five months wasn’t easy, but you are so worth it!

Four months of Connor | Personal

This month Connor took his first dip in the pool! And we pretty much hung out there all summer long :)

Here are some favorite memories from home!

Probably my favorite photo shoot of Adaline ever! We wore this bubble machine out this summer! You can see the pure joy all over her pretty face :)

My parents had their annual 4th of July party and the kids had a blast!

When Adaline was around two months old I took a photo of her in my moms elephant ear plant leaf, so I had to try and re-create it even though Connor was way too big by then haha! And I got a nice grumpy face photo :)

I drug the kids out for a random photo shoot and I was so happy to find some bright flowers and get some keepsakes of the kids!

We had a pool themed four month shoot! I convinced big sister to get involved too hahaha!

Two Months of Connor | Personal

Month two went by so incredibly fast! To be honest, Connor is a lot more fussy than his big sister ever was! Haha! This journey has been so different but it has been so good! Connor started to be more alert this month and really tracking people with his eyes! And of course he was loved on by his sister! :)

We celebrated Connor’s first Easter! We took Adaline to an Easter egg hunt that had inflatables and she had a blast! She climbed up the biggest slide and went down by herself, but the last time she got scared, so Jon had to go get her! I don’t think he minded too much (see pictures below;))

Connor gave me his first real smile and UGH y'all! I can’t handle it! I forgot how stinkin’ sweet baby smiles and coos are! He loves to talk and sing to us! His eyes also started to lighten up, so it looks like we will have two blue-eyed babes! We try to get out of the house and head to my parents farm once or twice a week, I’m able to sneak off to have some one-on-one time with Adaline while my mom watches Connor for a little bit! I’m so thankful for those days!

We spent one weekend at my parents house so Jon could go turkey hunting, so I used that opportunity to get some pictures with the kiddos on the farm! The next morning Jon got his first turkey ever! Adaline was so excited for him :)

Lots more smiles and fun memories! :)

My Month 2 photo was kind of a disaster haha! It was a cute idea, but the greenhouse was too bright for Connor! He wasn’t feeling it lol! But he’s still so adorable… I love this sweet boy!

Three months of Connor | Personal

Whew, month three was a doozy. Ha! Connor was (and still is) attached to his momma pretty bad! But of course we made it through, and we got to do some fun things with our girl! We took her to the Strawberry Festival and she had an absolute blast!! It was so sweet to see her enthusiasm over all the ride all the small rides. She is so brave and always down for an adventure!

Here’s some random home photos! We took advantage of the nice weather as much as we could and went on lots of walks! And took lots of naps :)

I miss that crazy red hair!!!

For Memorial Day weekend we took a road trip to Ohio! On the way down wasn’t bad because we left at about 3 am, but the ride home was BRUTAL. Connor cried so much that he barfed everywhere. It was truly horrible! BUT we did have fun spending time with family and getting away for the weekend!

We came home and continued our boring lives haha! Adaline was the best sister ever, and really learned how to be a little independent when I had to tend to Connor. She is so amazing!

Here are some pictures from my camera! These two are so adorable!

Fun at Pap’s house with our favorite cousins!

I realized that I hadn’t taken many photos of Adaline by herself since Connor was born, so I made her do a couple photo shoots for me! :)

And here are some sibling photo fails hahaha and some cute bath photos of Connor!

3 month photo!

One Month of Connor | Personal

I’m just two months late with this personal post haha! But here are some of my favorite moments from Connor’s first month!

The moment Adaline met Connor will forever be my favorite memory. Adaline was SO excited to meet her baby brother and it was absolutely precious to watch her interact with him for the first time. I tear up just thinking about it! She has done so well with this transition, and these moments were the beginning of that! I couldn’t be more proud to be her mom! (A big thank you to my BFF Whitney for taking photos for me!!!)

Day 2 and 3 after Connor’s birth were probably the worst for me! It was pretty painful to move around those first few days after the c-section, but I was so incredibly thankful for my husband who was by my side the whole time! We had a great stay in the hospital and we went home on Jon’s birthday. Connor’s favorite thing to do was scratch his face, and since he is the second child we used socks for mittens on the way home! Haha! :) That first week was spent as a family of four (with my mom helping when she could) and it was such a sweet time together. I will always cherish these memories!

On Connor’s one week birthday I made us all dress up and do a photoshoot in Connor’s nursery!

Jon was able to stay at home with us for two weeks which was amazing! The first week he had to pretty much help me with everything physically. Getting in/out of bed was the worst!!!! But after a week I was able to do everything by myself, which was such a relief. I’m honestly so thankful for the healing process. I was back to my normal routine less than two weeks after my c-section. I was able to lift Adaline again and just do normal things, like pick up toys off the floor. The healing process of the c-section was my greatest fear and I was so happy with my experience.

Within those first two weeks Adaline ended up getting a stomach virus. It. Was. Horrible. She has never thrown up before so it was so sad to see her get sick and not understand what was happening. Luckily it didn’t last long and she was back to herself in less than a day.

We joked that we had every kind of bodily fluid in our home those first two weeks! Haha! It took us a while to get used to changing a baby boy’s diaper, so Connor peed on a lot of furniture/people haha! He also pooped on me and our bed… twice… within a few hours of each other. It was hilarious but also tiring!

Jon went back to work and his mom stayed with us for a week to help me get adjusted to our new routine and then I was on my own. Adaline did so great. She was definitely more whiny at times, but she loves her baby brother and I love watching them together!

I did a few photoshoots with Connor at my parents house and I loved the way they turned out! Adaline kissing Connor in the bluebells had to be my favorite photo EVER. It is hard to put into words how much I love these two!

I did these type of monthly photos with Adaline, so I wanted to do something similar with Connor! Since Easter was coming up I used plastic eggs to make the 1 and dressed him in his Sunday best :)

And just like that, his first month went by so quick! These two babies are my entire world. I can’t believe they are mine! I’ll have Connor’s Month 2 post up soon! :) Thanks for reading!
